Fintech UX/UI: Payment Research & Interface Design

Intro
SuitPay | Fintech Platform & UX/UI Improvement Highlights: Designed UX/UI improvements for SuitPay, a Brazilian payments platform processing approximately R$2 billion annually and more than 900 million Pix transactions. Designed the interfaces manually in Figma, following UX/UI best practices and insights from competitive benchmarking — a deliberate choice given the sensitivity of the flows involved. Analyzed existing experiences to identify interaction friction, communication issues, and opportunities for greater clarity. Focused on password and notification experiences, improving usability and the communication of important actions and states. Applied a structured Product Design approach to translate business and user needs into clearer digital experiences. Problem → Solution: Financial products require clear communication and predictable interactions, particularly at the scale SuitPay operates — where a confusing password or notification flow affects millions of transactions and directly impacts user trust. Existing password and notification experiences presented opportunities to improve clarity, hierarchy, and interaction. Conducted benchmarking of comparable digital products and analyzed established UX/UI patterns and best practices. Redesigned the relevant flows manually in Figma, focusing on clearer information hierarchy, interaction patterns, and communication. Created high-fidelity interfaces designed to reduce friction and make important actions easier to understand. Process: Analysis of existing product experiences Competitive benchmarking UX/UI best-practice research Identification of interaction friction User flow analysis Information hierarchy definition Wireframing and interface exploration Manual UI design in Figma High-fidelity prototyping Interaction and state design Visual refinement Design validation and iteration Key Features: Password-related user flows Notification experiences Clearer action and state communication Improved information hierarchy Interaction pattern refinement High-fidelity Figma interfaces Responsive UI considerations UX/UI best-practice application Competitive benchmarking Fintech product experience Results & Learnings: Improved the clarity and usability of key account-related interactions within a platform operating at national payment scale. Demonstrated how benchmarking and established UX/UI patterns can inform practical improvements in financial product experiences. Reinforced the importance of clear communication when designing interfaces involving sensitive account actions, at a scale where small friction compounds fast. Created the interfaces entirely through a manual, human-led Figma design process — a deliberate contrast to the AI-assisted workflows used on other projects, chosen for the risk profile of the domain. Demonstrated the ability to move from research and benchmarking to structured UX decisions and polished high-fidelity UI.
